A Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree begins with a required undergraduate pre-med education and then four years at a government accredited chiropractic college ending with an internship. Studies include anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, neurology, pathology, x-ray, spinal adjusting techniques, among others. National and state chiropractic exams are passed before each state licenses a doctor. Continuous postgraduate education is also required for license renewal and to keep up with the latest chiropractic research. There are chiropractic colleges worldwide.
